International business travel etiquette and related issues. Etiquette deals with a pre-set group of rules that guide behavior in socialization. The 17th-century court of Louis XIV utilized this philosophy, and each courtier was given une etiquette (a ticket) with a listing of the court’s rules on various mannerisms, and customs. Egyptians wrote the earliest book of etiquette, Instructions of Ptah Hotep, and in it, a father gave advice to his son on behaving properly. Books on etiquette, such as those written by Emily Post, are still popular best-selling items today. Included herein are links related to etiquette.
