The beleaguered MGM studio, currently languishing at the bottom of the major rankings after a run of flops, has signed a deal to bring a hit video about girls who strip at public events to the big screen.

What Is the Girls Gone Wild Video Series?

Girls Gone Wild launched as a direct-response DVD four years ago and the ensuing antics of its battery of breast-baring hedonists have attracted a huge following. Thus far there have been 83 separate videos of scantily clad shenanigans at public parties and Mardi gras.

Now the mammarial entertainment is heading for cinemas following a deal between the studio and the show’s founder, Joe Francis. The story will reportedly centre on a fictionalised trip to Panama Beach in Florida by a group of college party animals. Francis, who will act as executive producer, told the Hollywood Reporter he wanted the movie to be better than average. “It’s going to be a fictionalised version of Girls Gone Wild with love stories and everything in between,” he said.

By way of reassurance, the Girls Gone Wild creator later added: “And at the end of the day, all I want is a great movie. I don’t need the money and would never want a piece of garbage with my name on it.” Francis has also collaborated with the rappers Snoop Dogg and Eminem on other projects and music videos.
