How to Make White Chocolate at Home

Manufacturers today add all sorts of undesirable ingredients to white chocolate to increase its shelf life, etc. Some even add trans-fatty hydrogenated oils, thereby giving the white chocolate a terrible waxy texture. The best thing to do would be to make white chocolate at home.

Ingredients

:

  • ½ Cup Cocoa butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon soymilk powder
  • ⅓ cup confectioners sugar

Step 1:

In a microwave safe bowl, place the cocoa butter and cook it for a minute. If the butter has not melted, keep it for another few seconds or a minute more.

Step 2:

Once the cocoa butter has melted add the sugar, soymilk powder, salt and vanilla extract into the melted butter. Stir well till all these ingredients dissolve in the butter. You need to get a smooth, viscous liquid of yellowish butter.

Step 3:

Pour this mixture into the chocolate molds. Tap gently to discard any air bubbles. Next, place them in the fridge for the next four hours to set. Making White Chocolate Fudge Ingredients:

  • 1 packet (12 oz) white chocolate chips
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow cream
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 stick (4 oz.) butter
  • 1 tsp salt Preparation Procedure:

Step 1:

In an 8X8 pan lined with aluminum foil, spray some nonstick cooking spray.

Step 2:

Next, take a heavy-bottomed medium saucepan and add butter, sugar, salt and sour cream into it. Keep the heat on medium high. Don’t forget to keep stirring the fudge till the butter melts.

Step 3:

Even after the butter melts, keep stirring, until the mixture comes to a boil. Once the fudge comes to a boil, allow it to cook for another five minutes, all the while stirring.

Step 4:

Meanwhile microwave the marshmallow cream in the microwave for 15 seconds without the lid. This makes it easier to dollop out the marshmallow cream.

Step 5:

Once the five minutes is done, remove the saucepan from the heat. Place it on the counter and add white chocolate chips and marshmallow cream. Stir constantly until the chips and cream melt and blend with the rest of the fudge. If the chips are too stubborn to melt, you can place the saucepan back on the heat intermittently. Step 6:

Pour the hot fudge into the pan and smoothen it with the spatula to get an even layer. Leave the pan in the refrigerator for the next 1-2 hours to set. Once it’s set cut the fudge into small cubes and store in an airtight container. Refrigeration will keep the fudge fresh for two weeks, while room temperature keeps it fresh for one week.

Step 1:

For melting the white chocolate we need a double boiler. For this just take a saucepan, fill it with water halfway and place a copper bottom vessel in the saucepan.
